Dalhousie is a hill station with a motorcycle use: a night before or after Chamba, and a road to Khajjiar that everyone already photographed. The interesting riding is the district beyond the mall.
From here you can think about Bairagarh and Sach Pass in season, or you can loop back toward Kangra. Hardev will not sell Dalhousie as a Himalayan expedition.
Forest roads, hill-station traffic, then real mountain if you continue to Chamba town and Pangi.
Late summer if Sach Pass is the point. Shoulder months for the hill station itself.
