Royal Enfield Himalayan Tour

Royal Enfield is what Hardev Motors has known since 1985. The Himalayan is the machine that matches the current work: altitude, gravel, a support van, and a rider who may have never seen a Himalayan landslide. We specify it on Divine Zanskar, Spiti, Sach Pass, and the winter dates that leave the mountains for desert and coast.

A Royal Enfield Himalayan tour is a guided week (or two) with that bike included in the published rider price. You are not shopping Mall Road the night before. The motorcycle has already had the check that a tourist hire often skips: tyres for the surface, controls that still work with gloves, a chain that will not become the story of Baralacha.

The Himalayan is forgiving without being a toy. It will still fall over if you look at goats instead of the road. It will still boil a rider who packed as if Leh were a café hop. The tour briefing covers that. The bike cannot drink your water for you.

We are not a Royal Enfield dealership. We are a tour operator whose fleet happens to be Enfield because these roads still reward simple, serviceable motorcycles and a mechanic who can work without a laptop at 3,600 metres. If you want a 650 adventure-touring missile, say so. We will tell you whether that machine belongs on this particular itinerary with this particular group.

Guests who already own a Himalayan sometimes ride their own. We still run the tour as a tour. Your paint does not buy you the front of the pack on a pass day. The lead rider owns the pace because mixed groups and altitude do not care who paid for which tank decal.
